10.23 PATCH NOTES BREAKDOWN

Analysis of the most impactful changes for the League of Legends 10.23 patch update.

Mythic Items

Mythic items are the new, highest item tier that will become the cornerstone of your build, with big effects that define your playstyle in each game. You can only own one at a time, so selecting a Mythic item (and the effects it grants) depends on your opponents and the game state. Your Mythic also sets the tone for the rest of your build, both in terms of which other items you’ll want to pick up as well as a Mythic Passive that adds extra stats to your other fully completed items (now known as Legendary items). Mythic items generally carry the most complex effects and strongly impact your playstyle.

STAT UPDATES

ABILITY HASTE

Why did the Mythic section above talk about “ability haste” rather than “cooldown reduction,” and why didn’t we explain ability haste first? Because Mythics are cooler, so we put them first for people with short attention spans.

Cooldown reduction was more valuable the more of it you got. Every percent reduced your cooldown by the same amount-say, one second off a 100-second cooldown. That one second didn’t change even as the cooldown shrank. For that same 100-second cooldown, your 31st point of CDR took one second off the remaining 70-second cooldown, which is more than 1%. As such, CDR had to be capped at 40% to avoid going out of control, locking you out of a lot of items once you reached that cap.

Every point of ability haste lets you cast 1% faster. On paper, that makes it look like it gets less valuable the more you have because your cooldown shrinks by less and less each time. It’s actually the same amount of power. 50 ability haste lets you cast an extra half a spell during the original cooldown. The next 50 gets you to a full extra cast (100% faster). If you get another 100 ability haste, you get another whole cast (200% faster). This linear scaling allows us to remove the cap, so you can buy as much as you want.

VAMP EFFECTS

The big change here is that life steal now counts physical damage dealt by on-hit effects-since the idea is “heal from your attacks,” it’s more understandable if we include the whole attack. The other note is the addition of “physical vamp,” (which currently exists just on Sanguine Blade) so its sustain can apply to assassins’ abilities too. If you’re curious whether that means we’ll eventually bring back spell vamp, the answer is “maybe!”

CRITICAL STRIKE

Reducing the value of each point of critical strike chance and offering less of it per item allows us to smooth out marksman’s build scaling and put more interesting-and powerful-unique effects on their items. They’ll be stronger early- and mid-game, and their late-game damage will be less unilaterally based on constant crits since the other parts of their items will be more influential. Also, by spreading crit across five items (read: every non-boots slot) in marksman builds, we can put crit chance on more items because marksmen no longer run the risk of overcapping and losing access to items they otherwise would’ve wanted.

In conclusion, these were all the important changes for the League of Legends 10.23 patch update.

Nuguri, Canyon, ShowMaker, Ghost and BeryL brought back the trophy to LCK, where it belongs. Even though Suning did their best, they just couldn’t make it against DWG. As #3 seed in LPL, Suning did an amazing job in this tournament, because everyone thought that they will not be able to get this far. Congratulations again to DWG for showing an incredible performance and showing us what peak performance in League of Legends looks like.

WORLDS 2020 – SEMIFINALS

League of Legends – Worlds 2020 – Semifinals

Only 4 teams remain in the Semifinals. Even though everyone that managed to get this far is worthy of the title, only 1 team will be crowned as a World Champion. Furthermore all teams showed incredible amount of skill and teamwork. Because of that they deserve our respect and praise for their hardwork and dedication. Let’s hope that all teams learned a lot from this tournament and that this experience will boost their confidence and ability to be better than before.

WORLDS 2020 - SEMIFINALS - Schedule

Suning VS Top Esports

WORLDS 2020 - SEMIFINALS - Match 2
Firstly, what an incredible performance from LPL #3 seed, Suning. Secondly, everyone was surprised that Suning won this series. Thirdly, they proved that they are one of the strongest team in this tournament. Suning as a team played as one person, their teamfighting and team rotations were incredible during whole series. Even though Top Esports managed to win 1 game, it just wasn’t enough, Suning dominated them in other 3. In all 3 games, SN Bin showed incredible performance, he was always ahead in lane and he was unstoppable in teamfights. SN SofM is probably the best jungler in the world at the moment, amazing jungle control and presence in every game. He was always there to help his team. Angel was unbelievable, he managed to control the game with barely any issues. SN huanfeng and SwordArt were dominating Bot lane with their coordination and planning. In conclusion, Suning is probably the next World Champion. We hope that Top Esports learned a lot from this defeat and they will come stronger than ever.

DAMWON GAMING VS G2 Esports

WORLDS 2020 - SEMIFINALS - Match 1
Even though G2 Esports tried their best, they just couldn’t contain LCK #1 seed, DAMWON Gaming. Moreover, DWG show everyone that they are one of the strongest team in the world. DWG BeryL was just amazing, he was everywhere on the map, controlling G2 in every single way. He single-handedly destroyed G2 Esports during teamfights. DWG proved that they are worthy to be in this tournament because everyone was thinking that G2 will take away this series with no issues. DWG Nuguri was also incredible, he was amazing during laning and teamfighting, he is the big reason why DWG is dominating during this tournament. Furthermore, Canyon and Showmaker were unstoppable, together they managed to control the flow of the every game with their pressure and ganking. DWG Ghost and BeryL showed amazing performance in the Bot lane, dominating Perkz and Mikyx. Even though G2 lost, they will come back stronger than ever.

WORLDS 2020 - QUARTERFINALS - Thumbnail

WORLDS 2020 – QUARTERFINALS

League of Legends – Worlds 2020 – Quarterfinals

Amazing Quarterfinals, we had a lot of incredible matches so far. There were a lot of upsets and unbelievable moments during a lot of matches. All teams proved that they are worthy to be in this tournament. Let’s hope that Semifinals will have even more exciting matches that will be fun to watch.

WORLDS 2020 - QUARTERFINALS - Standings

DRX VS DAMWON Gaming

WORLDS 2020 - QUARTERFINALS - DRX VS DWG

Firstly, what an incredible performance from DAMWON Gaming, they showed us why are they #1 seed in LCK. Secondly, every game DWG showed us incredible team coordination and rotations. Thirdly, they overpowered DRX in teamfights and skirmishes. Even though DRX tried their best, they just couldn’t keep up with the DWG in any way. In every game, ShowMaker and Canyon were just amazing to watch. They both had only 1 death in 3 games, against team like DRX that is almost impossible. Also, Nuguri proved why is he considered one of the best Top laners in this tournament with his incredibe plays with Kennen and Ornn. DWG won 3 – 0 but we hope that DRX learned a lot from these games and that they will come back stronger than ever next year. DWG looks like the strongest team in the tournament and potential World Champion.

JD Gaming VS Suning

WORLDS 2020 - QUARTERFINALS - JD Gaming VS Suning
Even though everyone thought that JD Gaming would easily win against Suning, Suning surprised everyone with their superior playstyle and mechanics. JD Gaming managed to win the first game but Suning destroyed them in the next 3. Moreover, they had complete control in last 3 games, both in objectives and teamfighting. SofM was amazing, even when they lost 1 game. He showed unbelievable jungle control and pressure with his Graves and Kindred. His average KP is amazing, he’s always there when he’s needed no matter what’s happening on the map. Both Angel and huanfeng were unstoppable in these games. In 3 games that they won, Angel had only 1 death against JDG. Also, huanfeng dominated on his Jhin because JDG underestimated his performance as an ADC. Suning advances to the Semifinals as scariest underdog in the tournament.

Fnatic VS Top Esports

Amazing start from Fnatic but it just wasn’t good enough. Fnatic managed to win first 2 games in a row but then everything went downhill from there. Top Esports managed to reverse sweep Fnatic after being 0 – 2. Moreover, whole TES started to play without making any mistakes and executing everything perfectly. Karsa, JackeyLove and knight were amazing in last 3 games. All 3 of them showed unimaginable skill levels and the ability to carry their whole team. Karsa was especially deadly in those games, creating incredible jungler pressure and helping his laners to win their early game. In conclusion, TES seems like a team that will win this tournament in the end. These 3 games were horrible for Fnatic. They tried to keep up with TES, but they just couldn’t manage. Let’s hope that they learned a lot from this games and that we will see them again.

G2 Esports VS Gen.G

What a dominant performance from G2 Esports. They proved once again why are they #1 seed in LEC. G2 Esports played as one entity during all 3 games, they were just incredible to watch. Their teamfighting and objective control were on another level compared to Gen.G. Caps was unbelievable, because he proved that he is one of the best Mid laners on this tournament. Furthermore, Perkz was also incredible with his Jhin, having high KP every game. Let’s hope that we will see this kind of performance from G2 in the Semifinals. Even though Gen.G lost, they showed incredible amount of skill level and dedication to the game. In conclusion G2 Esports proved that they’re worthy to be in this tournament and let’s hope that they will be this dominant in the Semifinals.

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP D -Morgana

WORLDS 2020 – GROUP STAGE – GROUP D

League of Legends – Worlds 2020 – Group stage – GROUP D

End of the group stage, we saw a lot of interesting games so far. We honestly hope that quarter-finals will be even more exciting to watch than the group stage.

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP D - Schedule

Game 1.

FlyQuest VS DRX

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP D - Game 1
Firstly, DRX showed us why are they one of the best teams in the world. Secondly, their whole team played without making any mistakes. Thirdly, because of their incredible teamfighting capabilities and rotations they managed to take over the game. Doran and  Chovy had a perfect game with 0 deaths, while Doran had greatest impact with his Jayce. FlyQuest tried their best, but they couldn’t match the superior teamfighting from DRX’s side. DRX looks really strong so far and we hope that they can continue with this kind of performance.

Game 2.

Unicorns of Love VS Top Esports

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP D - Game 2
LPL #1 seed, Top Esports did it again. Their whole team looked unstoppable because they took 4 dragons, 1 Baron Nashor and had only 2 deaths during the entire game. Karsa, knight and yuyanjia had 0 deaths this game, which is incredible by itself. They were superior in every way no matter what team is their opponent and we don’t know if anyone can match them in B05 series during quarter-finals. Unicorns of Love tried their best to control the game but they just couldn’t manage to do anything against LPL’s finest.

Game 3.

DRX VS Unicorns of Love

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP D - Game 3
Another victory for LCK #2 seed, DRX. Doran had a perfect performanceBoi again, having 0 deaths and making a huge impact on the game with his Ornn. Also, both Pyosik and Keria had 79% KP in this game, they were everywhere so that their team can get ahead. Unicorns of Love tried to contest objectives and they were able to secure 2 dragons, but it wasn’t enough. They tried to match DRX’s in teamfights but they just couldn’t manage. It seems like Unicorns of Love are having a hard time during this tournament even though they are trying their best.

Game 4.

Top Esports VS FlyQuest

What an incredible victory from FlyQuest. This game’s outcome was really unexpected. FlyQuest managed to win against LPL #1 seed, Top Esports. PowerOfEvil and WildTurtle had an amazing performance this game. They both had over 70% KP and they were incredible during teamfights. Furthermore, FlyQuest had complete control over objectives, they took 4 dragons and 2 Baron Nashors. In conclusion, because of superior objective control and teamfighting ability, they managed to win against Top Esports.

Game 5.

Unicorns of Love VS FlyQuest

Another victory for LCS #2 seed FlyQuest. Incredible performance from Santorin, PowerOfEvil and WildTurtle, all 3 of them proved that they’re worthy of being in this tournament with this victory. Even though they won, both FlyQuest and Unicorns of Love have been eliminated from the Group stage. Let’s hope that both teams learned a lot from the games they played, no matter if it was a win or a lose. FlyQuest showed incredible performance in the end, but it wasn’t enough to get them out of the Group stage.

Game 6.

DRX VS Top Esports

Tiebreaker match for the #1 seed of the Group D. Top Esports did it again. TES managed to take 4 dragons that gave them a Dragon Soul buff and 2 Baron Nashors. With objective control and superior teamfighting ability, they managed to win against DRX. 369. knight and yuyanjia had a perfect score with 0 deaths, against a team like DRX, that’s actually amazing. We hope that DRX will get better after this game and that they learned a lot from this loss. TES looks like a tournament winning team so far.

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP C - Ashe

WORLDS 2020 – GROUP STAGE – GROUP C

League of Legends – Worlds 2020 – Group stage – GROUP C

What an incredible day. End of Group C was filled with interesting and fun games. All of the teams showed their skill and dedication towards the game they dedicated their life to.

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP C - Schedule

Game 1.

Fnatic VS TSM

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP C - Game 1
Firstly, Fnatic looked incredible this game. Secondly, Fnatic as a team showed amazing team coordination, laning and teamfighting capability. Thirdly, most of Fnatic team had a perfect score and they managed to get 12K gold lead against TSM in the end. Because of effective objective control, Fnatic managed to acquire Dragon Soul and Baron Nashor. Even though TSM tried their best, they couldn’t stop Fnatic. In conclusion, Fnatic looked stronger than ever and let’s hope that they can continue playing in the same way.

Game 2.

LDG Gaming VS Gen.G

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP C -Game 2
Even though LGD Gaming tried to fight back, they couldn’t match Gen.G’s performance this game. It was an interesting match, because both teams were almost equal in every aspect. Both teams killed Baron Nashor, few dragons and had a great teamfighting and laning phase. LDG Gaming managed to take both Nexus turrets but they all died because of that attempt. After that, Gen.G pushed their way to victory when most of the LGD was dead. What an amazing performance from both teams.

Game 3.

TSM VS Gen.G

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP C - Game 3
This was a really close game. Bjergsen showed incredible skill level and performance during this whole game. Even though TSM had a lead in kills, they couldn’t turn that into their advantage to win the game. Gold lead was almost equal and both teams had similar number of dragons killed. But there was a visable difference in teamfighting and macro during the late game. By taking Baron Nashor, Gen.G quickly teleported back to stop TSM’s last push. Gen.G engaged on them, caught Spica and after that killed the entire TSM team. Gen.G showed us why are they one of the strongest teams in this tournamet.

Game 4.

Fnatic VS LGD Gaming

Another great victory for LEC #2 seed, Fnatic. They played as one to secure this victory. Superior objective control and teamfighting helped Fnatic secure this victory, Fnatic’s Top laner, Bwipo dominated this game, he had 0 deaths and he showed incredible performance in teamfights and laning phase. Fnatic secured their place in quarter-finals after this victory, let’s hope that they will continue with their incredible performance in this tournament. Unfortunately, with this loss, LGD Gaming has been eliminated from this tournament, even if they win against TSM, they still won’t have enough victory to force a tiebreaker with someone. Let’s hope that they learned a lot so far and that this was a positive experience for them.

Game 5.

LGD Gaming VS TSM

This was a really interesting match. Because both teams had the same number of secured dragons and kills. But LGD tricked TSM with a sneaky push on the mid lane when they were doing Baron Nashor. Thanks to Peanut and Langx, TSM’s Nexus got destroyed even though TSM tried to stop them. Both teams got eliminated after this game. We hope that LGD and TSM learned a lot from better teams in this tournament and that they will come back stronger than ever before.

Game 6.

Gen.G VS Fnatic

Gen.G dominated this game. They had complete objective control, taking 3 dragons and Baron Nashor while Fnatic couldn’t do anything about it. Both Ruler and Rascal showed amazing performance, dealing most of their team’s damage and having huge KP. This was a tiebreaker match so because of that Gen.G is #1 seed in Group C. Let’s hope that this won’t damage Fnatic in the long run and that they will learn a lot from this loss. Gen.G finished with 5-1, same as DWG, it seems like LCK teams are dominating other regions.

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP B - Riven

WORLDS 2020 – GROUP STAGE – GROUP B

League of Legends – Worlds 2020 – Group stage – GROUP B

Group B finished with DAMWON Gaming and JD Gaming getting out of the groups. Even though Rogue and PSG tried they best, they couldn’t manage to win against LPL and LCK giants.

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP B - Schedule

Game 1.

PSG Talon VS DAMWON Gaming

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP B - Game 1
Firstly, DAMWON Gaming showed us again why are they one of the tournament’s favourite. Secondly, they dominated over PSG through teamfighting and laning. Thirdly, Ghost and BeryL had an amazing game while laning against Unified and Kaiwing. PSG Talon tried to keep up but they just couldn’t. DAMWON outclassed them in every single way so the game ended in less than 30 minutes. Let’s hope that PSG can learn a lot from their mistakes. DAMWON honestly looks invincible at this moment, making perfect plays and rotations every game.

Game 2.

Rogue VS JD Gaming

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP B - Game 2
JD Gaming had an incredible performance this game. Complete objective control, taking 4 dragons and acquiring Dragon Soul while denying Rogue every dragon during this game. JD’s Bot, LokeN and LvMao were amazing this game, dominating throughout laning phase and teamfights. Likewise, their Top laner Zoom outmatched Rogue’s Finn by getting 6.5 K gold lead. Rogue tried their best, but because of Dragon Soul and Baron Nashor buff JD Gaming ended this game. This is JD Gaming’s first appearance in the Worlds, and so far they look like one of the strongest teams in this tournament. This was a tough loss for Rogue, it will be really hard to recover from such a losing streak.

Game 3.

DAMWON Gaming VS Rogue

Another victory for LCK #1 seed, DAMWON Gaming against LEC #3 seed Rogue. It seems like DAMWON is one of the strongest, maybe even strongest team in this tournament. We saw an incredible performance from whole DWG. Canyon and Ghost had a perfect game with 0 deaths, which is absolutely amazing. Rogue tried to hold DWG for a while but they just couldn’t manage to do it. DWG took over the entire game in every aspect. Game lasted only 23 minutes and with 15K gold lead, DWG secured another victory for themselves. It seems like Rogue lost all hope even tho they tried to make a stand.

Game 4.

JD Gaming VS PSG Talon

What an unbelievable game from PSG Talon. They dominated JD Gaming, showing what are they capable of. Their whole team had a perfect score except Mid laner Tank that had only 1 death. PSG looked like an ustoppable force this game, taking every objective, securing both Dragon Soul and Baron Nashor. With their incredible performance, they secured their first win in this tournament. Let’s hope that we will see more of this dominating PSG Talon that almost had 0 deaths in 26 minutes game.

Game 5.

PSG Talon VS Rogue

Second victory for PSG Talon in this tournament. Because of their incredible teamfighing and objective control capabilities they managed to secure this victory from Rogue. Even though they won this game, both PSG Talon and Rogue have been eliminated from the tournament. We hope that both teams have learned a lot during this tournament and that they will come back stronger than ever before. It’s a shame that PSG Talon started performing so well in their last 2 games, because if they played like this at the start of the group, it would be a different story.

Game 6.

JD Gaming VS DAMWON Gaming

What an incredible performance from JD Gaming. This was a really exciting match to watch. Both teams played extremely well, it was really nerve wracking because anything could happen. Even though DAMWON secured every dragon and they secured Dragon Soul for themselves, they couldn’t win against JDG. Because of superior teamfighting and team positioning, JDG won the last fight that secured them a win against monster that is DWG. This was the only loss in groups for DWG but we know that they will still dominate later in the tournament.

WORLDS 2020 – GROUP STAGE – GROUP A

League of Legends – Worlds 2020 – Group stage – GROUP A

There were a lot of interesting matches as Group A finished. Most surprising things were Team Liquid’s performance and incredible tiebreaker match for #1 seed in the Group A that happened.

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP A - Schedule

Game 1.

Team Liquid VS G2 Esports

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP A - Game 1

Firstly, G2 looked like an unstoppable force during the whole game. Secondly, their team coordination, teamfighting and laning were far superior compared to Team Liquid. Thirdly, Jankos and Caps had a perfect game with 0 deaths and they showed their peak performance. Even though TL tried they best, they just weren’t ready for G2 this game. In conclusion, G2 showed us how effective they can be when they get serious. Let’s hope that TL will learn a lot from this game and improve because of it.

Game 2.

Machi Esports VS Suning

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP A - Game 2
Suning showed again their true skill level. Barely any deaths during the whole game, incredible teamfighting and supreme objective control. Suning looks incredible at the moment even though they don’t have a perfect score during this tournament. Even if they lose, they still look like a hard challenge that you should never underestimate. On the other hand, Machi’s situation isn’t really great, but we should commend them for trying to compete with the best teams in the world.

Game 3.

G2 Esports VS Machi Esports

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP A - Game 3
Caps dominated on his Lucian this game, dealing 33% of his team’s damage and having almost 5k gold lead over Mission. Jankos did an amazing job as a jungler with 76% KP, he was always in the right place the entire game. Even thoug Machi Esports secured 3 dragons, they couldn’t get the 4th one for Dragon Soul that could help them to get back in the game. This was G2’s second win during Group A’s finale, and they look really strong getting out of group stage.

Game 4.

Suning VS Team Liquid

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - GROUP A - Game 4

Firstly, this game was a pleasant surprise. Because everyone thought that Suning would win easily against Team Liquid. However, TL dominated this game, their whole team played like never before. CoreJJ had incredible 90% KP, same as Broxah with 86% KP, they were everywhere. Moreover, Jensen had a perfect game with 0 deaths on his Sett with incredible teamfighting and laning phase. Even though this win won’t be enough to get them out of groups, TL showed that they deserve to be in this tournament.

Game 5.

Team Liquid VS Machi Esports

Team Liquid dominated again, they outperformed enemy team as a whole. Sadly, this was the last game for Machi Esports, and with their score of 1W-5L, they are out of the tournament. Let’s hope that they learned a lot and that they will come stronger than before next year. Team Liquid looked really strong again, laners were winning hard against their opponents and Broxah was contolling the flow of the game with his jungle presence.

Game 6.

Suning VS G2 Esports

Suning destroyed G2 in this game. Their support, SwordArt had unbelievable 100% KP. Both their jungle and top, SofM and Bin, took control of the game with their pressure and harrasing playstyle. G2 had questionable picks with their Senna and Kalista bot, and they seemed to be overconfident at the moment. Because of that, they lost control over the game, Suning took the chance and just dominated G2. Because G2 lost, TL got eliminated from the tournament because they lost their chance to play a tiebreaker match with Suning for the #2 seed. Even though TL showed their peak performance today, they didn’t get out of the groups. Let’s hope that they will come back even stronger.

Game 7.

Suning VS G2 Esports

Last game of Group A, best game of the tournament so far. Even though Suning was winning the entire game, G2 tried their best to stay alive. There were a lot of incredible fights during the whole game. Suning managed to take 4 Barons but even that was barely enough to beat G2. Game ended when G2 took 4th dragon for the Dragon Soul. Bin teleported behind them, using his barrels to kill Caps and Perkz, because of that G2 lost this incredible game. What an incredible performance from Suning. Let’s hope that G2 will come back stronger than before for Quarter- Finals.

League of Legends - Worlds 2020 - Group stage - Day 4 - Zed

WORLDS 2020 – GROUP STAGE – DAY 4

League of Legends – Worlds 2020 – Group stage – Day 4

Day 4 had a few upsets. Some of the teams showed surprising amount of skill level than before. We hope that we’ll see even more interesting games as the tournament continues.

League of Legends - Worlds 2020 - Group stage - Day 4 - Day 1

Game 1.

G2 Esports VS Team Liquid

League of Legends - Worlds 2020 - Group stage - Day 4 - Game 1
What an incredible performance from LCS #3 seed, Team Liquid. Even though everyone thought that this was an easy win for G2, Team Liquid surprised everyone with this game. G2 tried to control objectives and pick smart fights but TL was just better in everything throughout whole game. Furthermore, Jensen had an incredible game on his Orianna, dominating in both lane and teamfights. It was a pleasant surprise that TL won this game and proved that they’re not out of this tournament. Let’s hope that this loss won’t affect G2 too much so they can come back stronger than ever.

Game 2.

Suning VS Machi Esports

League of Legends - Worlds 2020 - Group stage - Day 4 - Game 2
LPL #3 seed Suning managed to win against PCS #1 seed Machi Esports. Even though Machi tried their best to keep up, they couldn’t manage. SwordArt and huanfeng showed us incredible performance, dominating over Machi’s Bot Lane. Machi secured 3 dragons but they couldn’t secure 4th one for the Dragon Soul. With the help of 2 Barons, they managed to get a huge gold lead and with that win the game.

Game 3.

DRX VS FlyQuest

League of Legends - Worlds 2020 - Group stage - Day 4 - Game 3
Another incredible performance from LCK #2 seed DRX. Their Mid Lane and Bot Lane had a perfect score with 0 deaths. Chovy and Deft are one of the most deadliest combos in this whole tournament. Let’s not forget that DRX Pyosik had 92 % KP, which is one of the reasons that DRX won this game. FlyQuest tried to get back in the game by killing 4th dragon for the Dragon Soul but they couldn’t contest it. With the help of Baron and superior teamfighting, DRX won the game.

Game 4.

Top Esports VS Unicorns of Love

Even though LCL #1 seed, Unicorns of Love tried their best, it wasn’t enough. LPL #1 seed, Top Esports proved again why are they one of the strongest team in this tournament. Whole TES worked as one unit. Because of that, they easily won this game. Jackeylove and knight had an incredible performance this game, giving UOL no quarter. Every game TES shows us why are they one of the favourites in this tournament. Let’s hope that this won’t hurt UOL’s mentality too much.

Game 5.

Fnatic VS Gen.G

Firstly, Fnatic showed why are they strong and respected team. Secondly, they showed incredible teamfighting and objective control than in their first 2 games. Thirdly, Selfmade and Rekkles popped of during this game, dominating over jungle and bot lane. Even though Gen.G tried to contain Fnatic, they didn’t have resources or time to do it. Even though Gen.G lost, they still showed incredible amount of skill that they used to try and comeback from the losing game. Let’s all hope that Fnatic will keep it up with their performance.

Game 6.

TSM VS LGD Gaming

LCS #1 seed, TSM couldn’t manage to beat LGD Gaming. Even though they tried to make plays and control objectives, LGD Gaming was one step ahead in every aspect of the game. All of the LGD showed amazing amount of skill that they used to beat their opponents. LGD’s Peanut, Langx and xiye proved that they’re worthy to be in this tournament. This was a heartbreaking loss for TSM but let’s hope that they can come back from this. Even though LGD is #4 seed, they proved their worth.

WORLDS 2020 – GROUP STAGE – DAY 3

League of Legends – Worlds 2020 – Group stage – Day 3

We had a lot of interesting games on day 3 of the group stage. We saw a lot of games so far, and we can clearly see who will most likely continue to the next stage of the tournament.

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - DAY 3 - Schedule

Game 1.

Machi Esports VS G2 Esports

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - DAY 3 - Game 1
LEC #1 seed, G2 Esports showed us again, why are they number 1 in LEC. Wunder dominated on his Camille, dealing most damage on his team. G2’s jungler Jankos, had an amazing game on his Nidalee, with his objective control and KP. Even though Machi Esports secured one Baron, it wasn’t enought to beat G2. With the help of the Dragon Soul and incredible team coordination, they managed to win the game. We saw today that G2 is really strong and we hope that they can continue winning as they did so far.

Game 2.

Team Liquid VS Suning

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - DAY 3 - Game 2

LCS #3 seed Team Liquid faced LPL #3 seed Suning and they didn’t have a lot of fun against them. Suning took over the game pretty fast with their dominating bot lane huanfeng and SwordArt. Team Liquid didn’t have a lot of chance against this team, they couldn’t contest even 1 dragon. Suning acquired Dragon Soul and just destroyed TL in teamfights. Even though Team Liquid tried they best, they lost with almost 15 K gold deficit.

Game 3.

DAMWON GAMING VS PSG Talon

WORLDS 2020 - GROUP STAGE - DAY 3 - Game 3

LCK #1 seed did it again, DWG showed us what peak performance is 3 games in a row. Their Top, Nuguri had a huge impact in this game, having almost 75% KP, even more than their jungler. Also, he had the highest damage in his team, even though ShowMaker was on his Syndra, which makes it really impressive. In conclusion, everyone should be afraid of DWG, because this team is aiming for the 1st place.

Game 4.

JD Gaming VS Rogue

LPL #2 seed, JD Gaming looked really strong today. Firstly, they had a perfect control of the objective. Secondly, JDG Zoom destroyed RGE Finn in the top lane. Thirdly, JDG’s Mid and Bot didn’t die even once during the whole game. In conclusion, JDG showed us their true potential and how terrifying they can be when they get serious. Let’s hope that Rogue will come back from 2 loses in a row because this was a hard lose for them. Considering JDG’s performance, we might see a potential favourite if they can keep their game at this level.

Game 5.

FlyQuest VS Unicorns of Love

First win for the LCS #2 seed, FlyQuest. It was a really close game, but FLY’s Power of Evil destroyed UOL’s whole team during teamfights. Even though, UOL had killed 3 dragons, they couldn’t secure the last one for Dragon Soul. UOL had more kills but 2 Barons and huge gold advantage that FLY had made UOL lose their control over the game. It was a very intense game to watch because both teams were somewhat equal in terms of skill and team coordination.

Game 6.

Top Esports VS DRX

This was one of the best games so far. Really intense and action packed game. Both teams had equal amounts of gold in the end and it wasn’t clear who would win until the end. JackeyLove dealt 50% of his team’s damage, incredible performace on his part. Even though DRX tried to do their best, they couldn’t contain LPL #1 seed. We hope that this wasn’t a great mental lose for DRX and that they’ll come back stronger than ever. Top Esports showed us why are they one of the most feared teams.
